Dr. Sun received her PhD from University of Madison‐Wisconsin in 1992, followed by a post‐doctoral fellowship at UW‐Madison developing gene therapy technology. She joined NWU Department of Pediatrics, Children’s Memorial Hospital and Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center as a Research Assistant Professor in 1995 investigating cutaneous T cell lymphoma etiology and oversaw the Dermatology Research lab at Children’s. Dr. Sun served as the Chief Business Development Officer at the Lurie Cancer Center, NWU. She served as the head of the Science Management Division at the Genome Institute of Singapore between 2002‐2003. Between 2007‐2010, Dr. Sun led the Global Strategic Alliances function at GlaxoSmithKline Oncology; establishing major global partnerships in clinical research including 6 major oncology networks including US Oncology, MD Anderson, Mayo Clinic, Fred Hutchinson. In 2012, she co‐founded OxOnc Development company with investment from OrbiMed Advisors.
